Think about your own safety and service your regulator regularly — servicing is needed every 100 dives, once a year, or as instructed by the manufacturer, whichever comes first. A regulator contains a number of O-rings, seals and other parts that wear with every breath, even when the equipment isn’t in use — plasticizers in the rubber leach out over time, and the rubber becomes stiff and brittle. Regular servicing protects both you and your diving buddies, and many insurance policies require a receipt proving proper maintenance.
Our work steps
- Visual inspection and photographing the regulator on arrival
- Checking the configuration and inlet pressures
- Disassembling the first and second stages down to every component, checking for damage
- Cleaning parts in an ultrasonic bath, with disinfection that doesn’t damage the material
- Replacing prescribed and damaged spare parts
- Checking instruments — depth gauge, pressure gauge and compass
- Reassembling into the original configuration and checking prescribed pressures
- Self-check of the service via our digital tracking system
