One of the most common causes of a freezing regulator or a headache during a dive lies in the compressor system — moisture and poor air quality in diving tanks most often come from there. Compressors need regular care and servicing: by law, servicing must be carried out at least once a year or as instructed by the manufacturer, regardless of whether you use the compressor privately or commercially. It’s a high-pressure system that poses a real danger if used incorrectly, so the safety valves and pressure gauge must also go for regular servicing and certification — in Croatia, by law, every two years.
